Since its beginning, the women's activist development has endeavored to counter the negative, bogus pictures engraved upon young ladies mental self portraits. Proficient scholars propose: Don't Waste Your Time Purchase An Essay For College Websites That Hire Writers Essay Paper Writing Service Essay Writing Service The norms of excellence that the media depicts are ridiculous and set little youngsters up for a negative mental self portrait. At the point when a little youngster, afterwards a lady, never feels as though she is adequate, in light of media impacts, she is left inclination not exactly and second rate. As a lady ages she gets characterized as even less attractive. The media once in a while depicts a lady more than 30 as lovely, energetic, provocative or attractive. The imbued message ladies (and men) get is that full grown ladies are not appealing or attractive. This persistent assault of unachievable norms sets ladies up for lifetimes of poor mental self view. This picture, generally imagined from considering models to be icons, is at the foundation of the issue. The Barnard/Columbia Women's Handbook says, The scope of genuine body types in the past was the same than today. What has changed is the thing that has been set up as the perfect. Studies have demonstrated that while 25 years prior the normal model weighed 8% not exactly the normal American lady, the present model weighs 23% beneath the national normal. The rejection of such huge numbers of ladies from portrayal is a forswearing of the wide scope of bodies and appearances. Rather than wondering about the collection of body shapes, we constantly come close ourselves with one another. We start to typify our own and other ladies' bodies. So ladies have instilled a feeling of rivalry with other ladies. They likewise feel naturally mediocre compared to the norm. Ladies have these sentiments more emphatically than men. In the article, Mirror, Mirror the writer clarifies, Why are ladies quite a lot more self-basic than men? Since ladies are decided on their appearance more than men, and principles of female excellence are extensively higher and increasingly unbendable. Ladies are constantly shelled with pictures of the 'perfect' face and figure - what Naomi Woolf calls 'The Official Body'. Steady introduction to romanticized pictures of female excellence on TV, magazines and announcements causes excellent great hopes to appear to be typical and anything shy of flawlessness appear to be unusual and revolting. It has been evaluated that young ladies currently observe more pictures of remarkably excellent ladies in a single day than our moms saw all through their whole immaturity. Since its initiation, women's liberation has endeavored to address this broken picture. As indicated by www.usinfo.state.gov, woman's rights is characterized as The view, enunciated in the nineteenth century, that ladies are inalienably equivalent to men and merit equivalent rights and openings. All the more as of late, a social and political development that grabbed hold in the United States in the late 1960s, before long spreading comprehensively. Women's liberation attempts to make the media assume liability for its impact and the pictures it anticipates. In a discussion given by women's activist columnist Rose Simone, she stated, A great writer knows about the way that their world isn't the main reality. A decent columnist should attempt to mirror the assorted variety that is out there . . . furthermore, the capacity to do that includes having the option to see and comprehend that since you have not experienced something, for example, prejudice, or on the grounds that you would by and by not see a similar thing as someone else, that doesn't make the other individual's arrangement of encounters less genuine or less deserving of announcing. Different ways women's liberation endeavors to defeat negative excellence/self-perceptions are by instruction and ingraining an awareness of other's expectations. In The Good Body, creator Eve Ensler says, The Good Body started with me and my specific fixation on my defective stomach. I have diagrammed this self-loathing, recorded it, attempted to tail it back to its source. Here, not at all like the ladies in The Vagina Monologs, I am my own casualty, my own culprit. Obviously, the devices of my self exploitation have been made promptly accessible. The example of the ideal body has been modified into me since birth. Be that as it may, whatever the social impacts and weights, my distraction with my fat, my steady eating less junk food, working out, stressing, is willful. I get the magazines. I become tied up with the perfect. I accept that fair, level young ladies have the mystery. In spite of the fact that women's liberation has made extraordinary steps since the 1960s, there is as yet far to go in upgrading womens mental self portrait. For whatever length of time that ladies contrast themselves with bogus pictures of flawlessness depicted by the media, they will be spooky with low self-esteem and a need to arrive at an unreachable objective. To what extent can Lord of the Flies be considered a Marxist piece?

Master of the Flies focuses on a gathering of young men abandoned on a tropical island when their plane crashes on the way from England to Australia as a component of a departure during a nuclear war (speculative war.) The story is basically a symbolic story of the intrinsic shrewdness of man †great versus malicious. Of the book, Golding said that he composed it to outline how political frameworks can't oversee society adequately except if they think about the inborn imperfections of human instinct. Marxism is viewed as the advancement from an abusive entrepreneur society to an equivalent and raunchy society. Golding attempts to set an idealistic world inside the island without grown-up, cultural limitations however at long last the intrinsic creature attributes of man go to the fore. Golding put together his story with respect to the nineteenth century novel ‘The Coral Island' composed by R M Ballantyne. Though Ballantyne's epic, an experience story of three young men abandoned on a remote location, was idealistic, Golding's is alarmingly skeptical. The tale was composed not long after World War II , in the beginning of the Cold War when distrustfulness about socialism was at its stature. In the mid 1950s numerous individuals were blamed, regularly dishonestly, of being socialists (the McCarthy period in the USA as of now is a genuine case of this.) It is inside this setting Golding composed Lord of the Flies. The fights among Ralph and Jack, the battles between the Conch gathering and the Savages or more all the battle of good versus fiendish, begin in a level of distrustfulness run of the mill of the period in which the novel was composed. Ruler of the Flies' reflects components of Golding's own life †his encounters during the war made him re-think the customarily held conviction that while society may be malicious, man was inalienably acceptable. Golding had seen the abhorrence in man, in the foe as well as in his own partners (he was on the boat that sank the German boat Bismarck.) Golding said in his article ‘Fable' †initially given as a feature of a talk arrangement in 1962 †â€Å"My book was to state: you imagine that now the war is finished and an abhorrent thing devastated, you are sheltered on the grounds that you are normally kind and not too bad. Be that as it may, I know why the thing rose in Germany. I realize it could occur in any nation. It could happen here.† The breakdown of request and order is unmistakable all through the novel. This thought was drawn from Golding's encounters as a school ace (his dad was additionally a teacher.) Golding instructed in an English state funded school such a large amount of his knowledge was drawn to a great extent from this. Golding felt that at that point, the training framework came up short on a harmony among discipline and imaginative opportunity. By putting the young men on an island without grown-ups, liberated from the requirements of society, he permits the young men opportunity to enjoy their wants and driving forces. Be that as it may, by setting the story in a tropical heaven, Golding permitted the young men's defeat to come not through a fundamental battle for endurance however rather from inside themselves and remarked â€Å"If calamity came, it was not to get through the abuse of one class by another. It was to rise, basically and exclusively, out of the idea of the savage . . . . . the ma in adversary of man is inside him.† (Fable, 1962.) Golding utilizes the changed characters in the novel to represent the differing degrees of viciousness showed by man and their break with sorted out civilisation. For instance, Piggy requests that the young men remain inside the parameters of sorted out society †his successive references to his ‘auntie' speak to the main grown-up voice all through a great part of the novel. Jack, then again, is progressively keen on fulfilling his own wants and is of the conviction ‘if it's fun, do it.' Ralph, be that as it may, is gotten somewhere close to the boundaries showed by Piggy and Jack. It is in the conflicts among Ralph and Jack that the contention between an edified society and a savage one are sensationalized and it is in their contrasting mentalities towards power that these distinctions in philosophy are depicted. Ralph is anxious to build up request †utilizing the conch to amass the young men †and despite the fact that as Golding says â€Å"what insight had been demonstrated was recognizable to Piggy while the most clear pioneer was Jack† it is Ralph who is picked as the ‘chief.' There is something about Ralph that has separate him from the others, an intrinsic quality; however it is his hang on the conch that appears to decide his political race as pioneer of the gathering. The conch represents the old, set up grown-up request the young men had been utilized to †it speaks to the guidelines and guidelines or lawfulness of socialized society. Ralph is illustrative of government and authority and utilizations his own position as boss to attempt to set up rules (for instance, you can possibly talk on the off chance that you are holding the conch) which are to benefit the gathering in general †he endeavors to implement the ethical principles of the general public they are abandoned from. Jack is the direct opposite of this †looking to deal with the young men to fulfill his essential senses (Ralph in certainty perceiving Jack's mistake at not being picked as pioneer is consolatory in reporting that Jack is responsible for the ensemble or ‘hunters' as they immediately become.) Jack's day of work or decrease towards brutality is set apart all through the novel. In the early sections, his energy for murdering pigs is actually a demonstration of fortitude yet is entwined with the need to acquire nourishment for the gathering. In this sense, Jack fits in with society's standards. It is just later in the novel when Jack no longer perceives Ralph's position and structures his own splinter bunch with the trackers that Golding shows the peruser Jack's actual and increasingly perilous character. Thusly, Golding can feature the way that to a degree certain savage angles are an inalienable piece of man's temperament (there is a superseding will to make due in people) b y the by in many occurrences this is stifled to worthy levels by the mores of society. Golding himself doesn't consider the to be as a Marxist piece, yet as a representation of â€Å"the murkiness of man's heart†. While the novel wasn't about class contrasts, Golding shrewdly utilizes the language of the young men to feature the reality there are without a doubt contrasts. For instance toward the start of Chapter 1 when Ralph meets Piggy and he asks â€Å". . . What's your father?† When reacting Piggy asks â€Å"When'll your father salvage us?† Interchange clarifications from pundits appear to arrive at the resolution that the occasions of the novel were an aftereffect of situation and not of the fiendishness inside man. Yet, Golding excuses that the activities of the young men were not inescapable. He recommends that the viciousness happens â€Å"simply and exclusively out of the idea of the brute.† Modern pundits will contend that the importance of the content is individual to every peruser. â€Å"I no longer accept that the creator has a kind of patria potestas over his brainchildren. When they are printed they have arrived at their lion's share and the creator has no greater authority over them, discovers not any more about them, maybe thinks less about them than the pundit who comes new to them, and sees them not as the creator trusted they would be, yet as what they are† (Golding, Fable) Golding is recommending that the importance of a book isn't constantly administered by the writer, so despite the fact that he obviously didn't plan for â€Å"Lord of the Flies† to be a Marxist piece, it could be contended that it has gotten one. It could be contended that given Golding's beneficial encounters and his dad's impact, this was inescapable. Roger's vicious way was just halted by the restrictions and laws of society, yet without these imperatives he can't release the â€Å"id† that is confined by society, however is a devilish component of the human mind. In the section ‘Painted Faces and Long Hair' Roger is seen alongside Maurice to demolish the ‘Littluns' stronghold. At that point Roger tosses stones at Henry, albeit purposely misses †in this sense his activity is constrained by the nearness of the principles of society. Later in ‘Castle Rock' Roger, feeling that all parts of humanized society have vanished is currently liberated from the limitations forced by society thus releases his actual viciousness by tossing a stone at Piggy †this time purposely meant to hurt. It very well may be contended that Golding utilizes Roger, who turns into the exemplification of savage when he kills Piggy, to typify the focal topic of the novel. The contention among want and good commitment is a focal topic of the novel. Golding utilizes the various characters of the young men to show the changed degrees of brutality that people illustrate. Piggy compares Roger as he shows no carnal characteristics and holds fast to society's principles. Golding communicates that this eagerness is a progressively common part of human conduct and that development powers empathy onto us instead of it being a characteristic human sense. Indeed, even the maritime official perceives that the young men have gotten crazy †his remark to Ralph that they may have had the option to â€Å"put up a superior show than that . . . â€Å"illustrates this; Ralph perceives that in the first place they were a firm gathering, a general public. The sign fire's motivation is to ideally draw in the consideration of a passing boat so the young men might be spared. Allegorically, shows how savage the young men have become and how far they have moved away from socially worthy conduct. The young men light the fire utilizing Piggy's glasses trying to be protected .This proposes they despite everything long for the request for civilisation. The eNotes Blog Your Major Isnt All thatMajor

Your Major Isnt All thatMajor Hooray! You’re attending a university! You’re presumably getting a long stretch of time of rest since you don’t invest any energy whatsoever considering all the new, obscure, huge, unnerving things that come packaged up in that word ‘college.’ No, you haven’t began contemplating your future or your profession or what such methods for your next four years. You haven’t began considering venturing out from home (in the event that you are), either, or leaving your companions. You’re dandy. You’re simply extraordinary. You are so energized. Truly amped. All set. You have a feeling that you simply need to give everybody high fives. But, that’s false by any stretch of the imagination. That’s really absurd. I know, you know, we as a whole realize that you are additionally (and I am certainly downplaying this): terrified. You’ve got the heebie-jeebies-those irritating creeps. Your stomach is basically a butterfly studio. You spend a great deal of your spare time shouting things like: â€Å"WHAT IS GOING ON?† Or†¦ â€Å"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO WHEN I GROW UP?† But mostly†¦ â€Å"AHHHHHH.† That's right. Prepare to be blown away. You’re ordinary. This is ordinary. School is an immense change. By one way or another, however, we all school goers come out alive, grinning, and never needing to leave. So be mitigated. This will be the best a great time. Presently, I know my useful tidbits won’t really be noticed right now, so I won’t continue rambling nostalgic, intelligent, great explanations about school. What I will do is give you a few hints on the best way to increase fitting viewpoint on your undergrad training. We’re going to discuss (dun dunnnn†¦): YOUR MAJOR. Hear me when I state: YOU WANT TO READ THIS. It’s alright to transform it. On numerous occasions. Some of you know precisely what you need to examine, possibly what profession way you need to go down. You’re almost certain you’ve got everything made sense of. On the off chance that you’re gesturing your head at the present time, this bit of insight is for you: you might be amazed. Some of you will keep on that underlying way. You’ll begin taking classes in your specific major, you’ll appreciate it, you’ll sit in the first column, spend time with your educators in available time, and you’ll simply keep on keepin’ on until you graduate. Some of you, however, will find that you don’t really like what you figured you would. You’re exhausted, you’re confounded, you’re dozing (and wheezing) in class, and you just aren’t that into it. For you all, and for the individuals who start off school undeclared, I beg you to feel good and calm difficult new things until something fits. You do it when you shop, you can do it when you study. You wouldn’t purchase an incredibly costly outfit without giving it a shot first, okay? So why purchase training (which would you say you is, know, kind of expensive) without giving some stuff a shot first? Consider it. Some of you may be stressed over what â€Å"other people† will think. I need to reveal to you that nobody will pass judgment on you on the off chance that you switch things up a piece. They will really applaud you for thinking about the training you are getting (who’s the cool child nearby at this point?). For whatever length of time that you screen your units, prerequisites, and so on all through your school vocation, you ought to have no issue. Have no dread, you are not the only one! Advisors can assist you with this procedure, as well! It doesn’t characterize your vocation. Wow, what did she simply state? THAT IS BLASPHEMOUS! I have a great deal of companions who need to be specialists. They’ve taken their pre-essentials for clinical school, sure, however do you know what number of them are really studying things like physiological sciences, science, natural chemistry, neuroscience, and so on.? For all intents and purposes none. Many have picked majors like history and English. The equivalent goes for a portion of my companions who decided to go to graduate school. Your significant issues in light of the fact that ideally it mirrors your inclinations. Ideally, you are contemplating something you truly need to consider. That could conceivably prompt a vocation in that field. You may even (like my yearning specialist buds) find the opportunity to contemplate two subjects (Wow!). I changed my significant multiple times (practically four†¦no disgrace), am as of now examining brain research, and don’t expect to be a therapist. Nuts, isn't that so? Your alternatives are interminable. The primary concern is†¦ Don’t let yourself be terrified by the choking appearance of a word like ‘major.’ It’s not going to contract you except if you need it to and you let it. With enough assurance you can generally make things happen to a great extent and move covertly through your undergrad experience to make whatever experience you need. Sincerely. Simply take a gander at school as an opportunity to make sense of what truly makes you tick-what you truly need to invest energy finding out about. Possibly you will be roused to proceed with that review later on throughout everyday life, and perhaps you won’t. There’s nothing amiss with both of these circumstances. So take the jump, step into the obscure, hop into the sea, let your soul fly! (That got unreasonable reasonably quickly†¦my terrible.) Point is: attempt new things, investigate a smidgen. You’ll be superior to fine. I guarantee. OK, okay†¦ I pinky guarantee.

Controversial Essay Topics For the New Year

Controversial Essay Topics For the New YearIn trying to select the most controversial essay topics for the coming year, some writers are resorting to essays that have been attacked by the college students. Yet, the fact is that it is the writing that people are so afraid of.Consider the case of those poor essay topics that are being attacked by students. They do not realize that the topic that they have chosen is in their favor. That is because it is one of the topics that they have already read or heard before, and they are not too much concerned about this point of view.On the other hand, if they were to choose essays with no information about the topic at all, then they would most likely to have a bad time. For instance, if the topic was written from the heart, then this would be perfect because a lot of students would avoid this article. If you write such an article, the students would not want to read it at all. This is exactly what you should be thinking.Another mistake that wr iters make when writing the controversial essay topic is that they forget to put anything on the topic that can be argued. They might have an argument for every single sentence, and they might feel that they have already made the whole point, but it will only serve to help you turn them off. Besides, students do not always agree with everything. Thus, they do not need your arguments every single time. However, there are other material themes that may help to make students go back to your article. For instance, the best way to combat the argument that you have just written is to stick to the fact that you are not about sex, drugs, or anything else that does not belong to your thesis. If you make this point clear, then most of the arguments that students make against you will not be worth your while. The next best way to win over students who have made your writing controversial is to write the best essay that you possibly can. But again, you must focus on the truth. Thus, this is one o f the most controversial topic that you should consider. You can also choose your favorite subject but remember that you cannot say the entire essay without mentioning your favorite topic. That is one of the best ways to convince the students. Keep in mind that every student does not like that which is opposite of their views, thus, you need to be careful with the topic that you choose.

Boyz N The Hood Criminological Theories - 1450 Words

Criminological theories have evolved considerably in terms of their interpretations of crime and deviance. Shifting away from the classical and neoclassical schools of criminology, we move towards a scientific approach that explains criminal behaviour as â€Å"determined by biological, psychological and social† (William McShane, 2018: 25) factors. The question of what causes conformity and deviance is one that is asked by all positivist theorists. It is through the various positivist theories that we are able to answer this question and analyze both conforming and deviant behaviour, while simultaneously providing explanations for such behaviour. In the film Boyz N the Hood, we can see that crime is rampant, and through the multiple positivist†¦show more content†¦Even though Tre joins Doughboy, his inner containment prevails as he gains â€Å"self-control† (Williams McShane, 2018: 139) and decides to get out of Doughboy’s car. Tre’s inner and ou ter containment demonstrate reckless containment theory. Evidently, Tre drifts from conformity to deviance, but through his self-control he is able to renegotiate that deviant behaviour back to conforming behaviour. Additionally, in Merton’s modes of adaption, Tre can be seen as a conformist. Merton maintains that conformity is the most common method used to adapt to strain (Merton, 1938: 677). Although Tre drifts between conformity and deviance, he is most notably recognized as a conforming character. Unlike Doughboy who rejects both means and goals, Tre strives to obtain the ultimate goal of wealth through approved means of working at a clothing store in the mall. Also, Ricky demonstrates Tre’s conforming behaviour when he says, â€Å"I’ve got this friend named Tre that’s always talking about going into business and all† (Singleton, 1991). Clearly, in strain theory, Tre is a conformist as he accepts both goals and the legitimate means to achieve those goals. Analysis Of Walt Disney s Snow White, Dumbo - 1200 Words

Walt Disney, animator, cartoonist, and entrepreneur, was a man of incredible vision and passion. He fundamentally transformed the entertainment industry in America. Prior to Walt Disney Studios, the art of animation was simply a moving comic strip, void of sound or color and generally constrained to short vignettes featuring friendly characters like cats. Disney was the first to innovate a system of animation on a large-scale, capable of producing feature-length films. Snow White, Dumbo, Pinocchio- these productions revolutionized the film industry in a way never seen previously. Walt Disney continues to be a cultural phenomenon, a household name spoken to this day by children across the world. This romanticized image of Walt Disney conveniently forgets one of the darkest moments in the famous visionary s past. The day was May 29th, 1941. Over three hundred Disney Studios employees walked out of their jobs and began to form picket lines surrounding the company buildings. The strikers held high colorful signs featuring famous Disney cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck- one poster displayed a picture of Pluto the Dog, reading I d rather be a dog than a scab! The workers marched on strike against Walt Disney Studios. The outrage of Disney s employees clearly demonstrated their unhappiness with the way the company s workers were being treated. Huck Budd Douglass Essay Example For Students

Huck Budd Douglass Essay The world in which we live in now is much less oppressive than say the world lived in the middle of the 1800s. Up until the Civil War, the South depended on their peculiar institution of slavery, in order to be productive a successful. Most people believed slavery was not wrong, but those who thought otherwise seldom tried to alter it. In general if surrounded by oppressive environment, one does not usually try to make a difference in that world. This is because people are afraid to defend what is right against a whole mass of people who believe otherwise. Huck Finn in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Billy Budd in Billy Budd, and Frederick Douglass in his autobiography all portray individuals who because of their good, innocent qualities go up against the oppression in their society. Living in an oppressive society does not always draw you to do the wrong thing you are still capable of generating change, whether it be for a certain individual or against a whole mass of people. Billy Budd starts off on the ship the Rights of Man, Melville obviously showing his intent in the naming of the first ship. This shows that on this ship where Billy wanted to be and chose to be he had rights. That he and the other crew had choices of what to do and how to be. Then along comes the British navy and decides that they are going to take Billy aboard their ship Power of War. This is when Billy is brought into an oppressive society. This is the navy and wartime during which rules must be followed as well as a lifestyle that must be followed. Billy is a poor innocent boy with a childish stutter. This stutter shows Billys humane side, a flaw, as well as leading you to the thinking that he has the innocence of a child. This stutter is connected to innocence because of its childish qualities. When most children begin speaking they have some sort of stutter, which usually goes away. The stutter parallels innocence because it is showing that you are just learning how to talk and dont really comprehend the correct way to make sounds, as you grow older you learn and the stutter disappears. Like innocence you are born with it, but as you grow older you usually are not portrayed as innocent any longer. Billy is like the premature kid who still has both his stutter and his innocence. Billy is introduced to many people aboard his new ship and is confronted by John Claggart. In this movie Claggart is the one who Billy must actually go up against. Being in an oppressive society and Claggart being the master Billy is forced to listen to Claggart. Although he tries to avoid him he is nevertheless confronted by him. Claggart and Billy are totally opposite in character. Claggart is an evil man who is out to get Billy whereas Billy is a sweet innocent young man who tries to help others. It is these two opposite traits that eventually lead to the death of both of these men. Billy tries to avoid Claggart because he has heard of his evil and does not want to deal with it. It is until he hears of Claggarts accusations that he is involved in a mutiny that he confronts him leading to the deathblow, which Billy delivers to Claggart. Research Social Stratification And Mobility -Myassignmenthelp.Com

Question: Discuss About The Research Social Stratification And Mobility? Answer: Introduction This report aims to investigate the suitability of work from home facility for the employees of AKC Architectural Firm (AKC). From the provided situation, it can be observed that the company is facing the issue of high absenteeism among the employees, as most of the employees have to stay at home due to look after their sick children and due to other school related issues. For this reason, the management of AKC is considering to provide the employees with work from home facility so that they can continue their work. In this context, it needs to be mentioned that the companies are required to consider some major factor before implementing the facility for work from home (Allen et al. 2013). The following discussion considers all the major aspects required to be discussed before the implementation of the work from home strategy for the employees of AKC. Software and Access Before the implementation of the strategy of work from home, the accountant is needed to assess the availability of appropriate software so that the works can be done in a smooth manner from home. There needs to be appropriate software that will maintain a connection between the employees and the administration team. With the assistance of this software, the instructor will be able to give instructions of the tasks in working hours. This can be a video software, chatting software or the personal mail of the company. The accountant needs to assess all these aspects (Masuda et al. 2012). Purchase of Additional Resources This part is related with the above part. After the assessment, in case the accountant finds that some important resources like software and others are missing, the company needs to purchase them for implementing work from home facility. Another important aspect is laptops. In case the AKC uses desktop computers at office, they need to buy laptops along with the required software for their employees so that they can carry them to home for doing work from home. Thus, the company needs to bear the expenses of buying laptops. However, if AKC uses laptops at use, then they need to give permission to the employees for carrying these laptops at home. In both of the cases, AKC needs provide the employees allowance for internet (Sweet et al. 2014). Cost Savings AKC has certain scopes for cost saving by implementing the strategy of work from home. First, in the employees of the company are provided with fork from home faculty for 3 days a week, then there will be a reduction of utility bills for the company; like electricity bills, internet usage bills and telephone bills. After that, the company will save the money for traveling allowances provided to the employees, if there is any. Other costs saving areas are savings in the usage of water, coffee, tea and others (Leslie et al. 2012). Taxation Benefits of Work from Home It is an important aspect to inform the employees of AKC about the taxation benefits of work from home. As per Australian Taxation Office, in case the employees use tools, equipments and other assets for the generation of income, then the employees can claim a taxable deduction for some or all of the cost of the assets (ato.gov.au 2018). It is important for the company to inform the employees about the taxation benefits of work from home so that they become interested in this aspect. Working Hours According to the Australian regulation, the employees have 38 working hours in a week. It needs to be mentioned that there is not any exception of this working hour in case of work from home. For this reason, the employees of AKC need to work for 38 hours in a week (Duncan and Pettigrew 2012.). However, there needs to be flexibility in the working hours as the main aim of the strategy of work from home is to provide flexibility to the employees. For this reason, the employees should be given with the option to fulfill the working hours of 38 hours in a flexible manner. It implies that they can work whenever they want to work buy required to fulfill the assigned working hours and tasks (Katz and Krueger 2016). Process to Stop Abusing the Working Hours There is a major possibility of the abuse of working hours by the employees in case of work from home as the employees many take the negative advantage of work from home and do not fully work in the full working hours. In order to avoid this issue, the employees are required to be assigned work on daily basis that need to be completed on daily basis. This will make the employees to work in urgent basis and they will get the flexibility for working. In addition, there needs to be penalty for the abuse of working hour like salary deduction and others. All these aspects will stop the abuse of working hours (Ferguson et al. 2012). Issues in Flexible Working Hours Some major issues can be seen in flexible working system. The first issue is the availability of the employees. In flexible working system, the administration teams are not always able to make contacts with the employees that hamper the work. The next issue is the timely completion of assigned tasks. There are many instances where the employees miss the deadline of tasks or cannot deliver the work in time. Some other issues can be the establishment of connectivity with the employees and others. Thus, the accountant needs to solve these issues in order to put the system in place (Eversole, Venneberg and Crowder 2012). Availability of Adequate Staffs The company needs to segregate the whole employees in some groups. These teams will have certain working slabs allocated for them and they must be available in that working slab. For example, there can be four teams. They are team 1, 2, 3 and 4. Now, team 1 is required to be present from 9 am to 11 am on a mandatory basis. Team 2 needs to be present mandatory from 11 am to 1 pm and so on. With the implementation of this strategy, the company can ensure that there will always be adequate staff on site (Stier, Lewin-Epstein and Braun 2012). Different Arrangements There will be different arrangements for the administrative team and the employees as flexible working system can also be provided to the administration team. However, the work pressure will be more on the administrative team as they will have the responsibility of assigning the works, follow on various work related issues, follow on the availability of the employees and others. The responsibility of the administration team will be to report to the higher authority about various work related issues on a constant basis so that everything can be run in the smooth manner (Wood et al. 2012). Conclusion Based on the above discussion, it can be seen that the accountant of AKC needs to consider the above-discussed issues in the implementation of the work from home facility. Amendment with all these issues will ensure the reduction on absenteeism for the companies. In addition, the company will be able to continue their operation in an effective manner as they employees have excellent skills. Based on the above discussion, some recommendations are provided below: It is recommended that AKC should purchase adequate amount of laptops along with software for this strategy. The company is also recommended to inform the employees about the taxation benefit of work from home so that their enthusiasm can be increased. It is recommended that the company should implement the discussed suggested strategy in order to ensure availability of the employees. society and individuals essays

society and individuals essays Society and individuals do not denote separable phenomena, but are simply collective and distributive aspects of the same thing. In this aspect of his theory Charles Horton Cooley states that the individual or person is actually a part of a larger individual called society. With that statement I will discuss Cooleys theory and explain my reaction to the theory. Cooley states that a persons self grows out of a persons commerce with others. Well doesnt that create a society? A persons individual self put together with millions of others selves equals a society. So where does an image that society want, come from? One person? In my opinion most individuals are afraid to express their own opinion. Thus creating a free market on the opinion. One person comes up with the opinion and the rest of society, if they feel it is not harmful to themselves, goes along with the opinion. This creates separate subculture in society such as the punk subculture or the thug subculture. Because one person was willing to put spikes in his hair for an outrageous reaction, others followed to express them selves with out being an individual but being an individual society. In the thug subculture does in make you hard to wear clothes to big? If it does, than how do today's youth in middle class suburbia sport that style, they have never lived in the ghetto and exp erienced things like true thugs have. In this manner peoples individual selfs have come from whom they interact with. Supporting Cooleys theory. The only problem with this idea is that it leaves the idea of originality to be an outcast on society. Being different from every one is a call for prejudice, harassment, and being left out of societys in crowd. We should be able to see a person for their accomplishments and their abilities. ...

What is a Code of Ethics Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

What is a Code of Ethics - Essay Example Ethics works in both ways in terms of employee commitment. A workplace is expected to establish a working environment where employees would want to come to work and be productive because of pride in what they do for a living. This gives the employees the motivation to stick with the company. A healthy and happy working environment makes the workforce enthusiastic about their works. In return, the employees become willing to cooperate with the company even in times of crisis. Employees are willing to extend a hand to lift up the spirit of the company as a part of its team instead of turning their back. They keep the confidentiality of matters that involve the company and maintain a good reputation as well that can also reflect the good image of their company. Investor loyalty is in one way or another, related to employee commitment. What would make an investor stick into something is a good service and return on/of investment. It is said that ethical business practices would include actions such as not using marketing materials or campaigns that mislead consumers (Tatum, 2003).

Software Tools for Qualitative Research Assignment

Software Tools for Qualitative Research - Assignment Example The latest version is the NVivo 10 designed to interact with social media platforms (Bazeley & Jackson, 2013). NVivo is able to preserve styles in their original documents forms including documents in non-English language. NVivo has containers called nodes, which can be assigned demographic data or attributes of features (Bazeley & Jackson, 2013). According to Bazeley & Jackson (2013), the nodes can further be rearranged in hierarchies, or be merged with similar nodes to form a single node for general representation. The occurrence of multiple sources which share common characteristics can also be grouped together to form various distinct classifications (Bazeley & Jackson, 2013). Schà ¶nfelder (2011) wrote that demographic information such as gender and age can be easily imported from external sources in form of text file or spreadsheet formats. NVivo10 further integrates automatic connection to face book, twitter, and LinkedIn datasets for the purposes of patterning data (Bazeley & Jackson, 2013). Bazeley & Jackson (2013) further added that, the package also has querying tool, which can be used to interrogate qualitative data to test theories or generate new information. With NVivo10, one can run dynamic modelling system to represent a project in real time or capture the project at a specified point in time using the static model (Flick, 2009). Occupation decision Essay Example for Free

Occupation decision Essay My decision to enter medical school started after my grandfather suffered a heart attack at the age of 20. Although this incident hurt me very much because of the medical staff inability to save his life disappointed me. After the grieving process was complete I began to consider a career in the healthcare industry. My initial step toward entering a career in the healthcare industry was to shadow a cardiologist which I believed would provide me an opportunity for me to learn what a life as a healthcare provider would be like. Once I decided that I would like to pursue a career in medicine I enrolled in college and currently completing a bachelors of science in Biology. I found the healthcare profession to be exciting and realized that it afforded me the opportunity to help the sick and injured which I believe I will enjoy and have a talent for. My experience working for the cardiologist affords me the opportunity to learn basic healthcare skills such as obtaining vital signs. Record keeping is an important part of managing a practice and my experience of tracking records has afforded me the opportunity to demonstrate this important skill. My ultimate goal is to complete medical school, a residency and then pursue a fellowship in either cardiology or neurology. One of the goals I have is to help prevent people form suffering an untimely death such as my grandfather by seeking to provide optimal care to prevent the consequences of poor health. I believe that the desire to help people created by my grandfather’s untimely death will help me provide competent and compassionate care. These traits will be advantageous to MUA because of the positive public image perception it will create. My undergraduate instructors and the cardiologist that I have followed I hope to someday model that inspirational behavior. Although I do not have many academic credentials currently but my desire to help people who are sick and injured. I am finishing my last semester with a bachelor of science in biology. This background in biology has provided me with the basic scientific knowledge which has developed a strong foundation for me to build upon with the courses to follow. I am of reputable character which is an important character trait because of the high level of trust needed between a physician and provider. The office work and shadowing I completed prior to my enrollment in college has provided me a unfettered glimpse of the struggles and benefits of pursing a career in healthcare. I believe that because of the reasons I listed I would be an excellent candidate for admission to your program. .
